And it won't matter which browser you use. That's bar none the best ad blocker I've ever seen. However, if ads are your main concern, and you are on Windows, you should set up your HOSTS file. I don't know anything about the other browsers. I actually did that with the ads for this very site, and it was blocking the ads on this site, when nothing else would block them. And you can even contact the people who manage the filters (at least with that Easy List filter) if you see ads coming through, and they will add them to the block list (filter). I can tell you that AdBlock Plus with the Easy List filter works very, very well. Firefox won't block ads without a plugin to do it. For Firefox, you can get addons (or plugins, they seem to use both words for the same thing) to block ads.
